Check out this amazing story of a 12 week old company called IntoNow that gets acquired by Yahoo! in just 12 weeks of launch for $13 million dollars. That’s over a million dollars a week in valuation since start up. That is pretty impressive. I had just spoken in January at Social Marketing Week in NYC about how Location Based Services where building their business models on live location check-ins. My beliefe was that this was just the beginning that soon peoiple would be checking into all kinds of devices, locations and content such as TV programs, Sporting Events etc..
Within weeks of that event we are starting to see companies capitalizing on the Content Check-in concept. I love this industry. There are always new innovations just around the corner.

Just twelve weeks ago, IntoNow launched as a startup pinning its hopes to a new iPhone app that tags television programs and allows TV watchers to “check in” to content as they’re watching it on the tube.
The app in question is widely regarded as the TV-equivalent of Shazam, the popular mobile application capable of identifying the song that you’re playing or listening to on the radio.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Yahoo has already gobbled up the new firm for an estimated $13 million….
